Terms & Conditions
These are the terms your booking with Jaisal Tours is made on — what a price means, what confirms a booking, and what happens when plans change. Please read them before you pay an advance.

1. Who you are booking with
This website is operated by Jaisal Tours, Near Fort Road, Sodha Group, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan 345001. You can reach us on +91 72968 98985 or at jaisaltoursandcamps@gmail.com.
These terms apply to every booking we take — taxis and cabs, airport and railway transfers, desert camp stays, camel and jeep safaris, sightseeing tours, outstation drives and hotel assistance — whether you book by phone, on WhatsApp, by email or in person. All amounts are in Indian rupees (₹).
2. Prices and availability
All prices mentioned on this website are subject to availability. The fares and package rates shown are starting prices for the vehicle or plan described, and they move with the season, the vehicle, the number of travellers and what the camps and hotels are charging on your dates.
The price for your trip is the one we confirm to you for your dates, in writing on WhatsApp or by email. Until then, a price on this site is an indication, not an offer.
3. Confirming a booking — advance token
- An advance token of 30% of the booking value is payable to confirm the booking, and is due more than 30 days before your travel date.
- Where your travel date is closer, a token of 50% is payable no later than 7 days before the booking.
- The token amount is not refundable once the booking is done. It is what we use to hold your vehicles, tents and rooms, and those are committed to the properties and operators on your behalf as soon as you confirm.
- The balance is payable as set out in your booking confirmation. A booking is only confirmed once the token has reached us and we have confirmed it back to you.
4. If you cancel or change your plans
Tell us as early as you can, on the number you booked through. We will always try to move a date rather than lose your trip. The token amount is not refunded, as set out above. Anything you have paid beyond the token is refunded to the extent the camps, hotels and operators release it to us, and we will show you what came back.
If we have to change a vehicle, a camp or a room for a reason outside our control, we will put you in the nearest equivalent we can get, and tell you before you travel.
5. Natural disasters and major events
A booking may be cancelled at any time in the event of a natural disaster or a major international event — for example a storm or flood, an earthquake, an epidemic, a border or security situation, a government restriction, or a strike or road closure that makes the trip unsafe or impossible. Neither you nor we are treated as being at fault in that case.
Where that happens we will offer to reschedule your trip, and any refund beyond the token depends on what the properties and operators return to us.
6. Camps, hotels and other third-party services
We take third-party services from different vendors — desert camps, hotels, safari operators and drivers. Their own guidelines and policies apply to you while you are with them: check-in and check-out times, ID requirements, safety instructions, timings for safaris and meals, rules about alcohol, smoking, noise and pets, and the conduct expected on the property.
Guests are expected to respect those guidelines. Where there is no co-operation at a property, the booking may be cancelled by us or by the property, and the token amount is not refunded. Any charge the property raises for damage or loss is payable by you, directly to them.
7. Taxis, cabs and transfers
- What a fare covers — the vehicle, the route or the day described — is stated in your quote. Anything added on the day, such as extra kilometres, extra days, waiting time or additional stops, is charged as agreed at the time.
- Seat counts are the vehicle's capacity. Luggage space is limited by the vehicle, so please tell us the number of bags when you book.
- Our drivers are local and drive to the conditions of the road. On long routes they need rest breaks, and there are stretches near the border where timings and access are set by the authorities, not by us.
- Please be ready at the pickup time you gave us. Where a delay affects a later part of the same day, we will do what we can, but we cannot guarantee a schedule that has moved.
8. Safaris, dunes and camp stays
- Camel and jeep safari timings are approximate and depend on the light, the weather and the number of guests that evening.
- A camel or jeep safari is an outdoor activity on uneven sand. Please follow the operator's instructions, and tell us in advance if anyone travelling has a health condition, a back or heart complaint, is pregnant, or needs assistance, so we can advise what is suitable.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at the dunes and in the camps.
- Power and mobile signal at desert camps are limited and vary by camp and network.
9. Check-in, ID and your belongings
Hotels and camps in India require valid photo ID at check-in for every adult guest; foreign nationals need a passport and valid visa. A booking cannot be honoured without it.
Please keep your belongings with you. We are not responsible for money, documents, phones or luggage left in a vehicle, at a camp or at a hotel — though if something does go missing, tell us straight away and we will help you chase it.
10. If something goes wrong
Tell us while you are still here, on +91 72968 98985 — we are in Jaisalmer and most things can be fixed the same day. A complaint raised on the spot is one we can do something about; one raised after you have left is much harder for us to put right.
11. Our responsibility
We arrange and operate your travel, and where a service is provided by a camp, hotel or safari operator we book it on your behalf and their terms govern that service. We are responsible for arranging your booking with reasonable care. We are not responsible for delays or changes caused by traffic, weather, road or border closures, vehicle breakdown beyond our control, strikes, or acts of any authority. Except where the law says otherwise, our liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid us for it.
12. This website
Photographs on this site show Jaisalmer, the Thar desert and the kind of vehicles, camps and hotels we book; they are illustrative, and are credited on our photo credits page. We keep prices and details current, but errors and out-of-date figures are possible — the price we confirm for your dates is the one that counts.
13. Privacy
How we handle your details is set out in our privacy policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from a booking.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one on this page when you confirm it. This page was last updated on 18 September 2026.
